Joel Spolsky reviews Sprint MP3 phone
Joel Spolsky (you may know him from Joel On Software) received a free package from Sprint as part of that company's efforts to get bloggers talking about their latest offering. At first, Joel refused to blog about the MP3/phone combo (an LG Fusic) just because they sent it to him for free. Once he discovered how ugly, infantile, unusable, and just plain bad the phone and associated MP3/video service were, he changed his mind and wrote one of the best product reviews/disses I've ever seen.
At one point, Joel rants about the phone's 'pause' button to pause an MP3, which only works after you've pressed it a few times:

...say, hypothetically, you were pausing because you live in a country where the police brutalize people, and a policeman was brutalizing you, and you wanted to stop the music so you could try to figure out what the policeman wanted and perhaps there was some way if you could just hear him that you could get him to stop beating you with a riot bat, you’re already DEAD by the time you figure out how to make the pause button actually pause.
